overheard in the December home last night

Kali: WAAAAAAA!
DB: really? you don't say!
Kali: NEH! NEH! AAAAAAAAAA!
DB: well, now you're just repeating yourself.
Kali: AAA! NEH! NEH! NEEEEEEEEH!
DB: ask your father.

Kali: HEH, HEH, NEEEEH!
Mr. D: What does she want?
DB: Nothing she hasn't already gotten at least 10 times today.
Mr. D: (to Kali) OK, kid, that's it. You're cut off.
Kali: NEH!

Oh my, did you tape it? So that someday you can play it at her wedding? And embarass her to pieces?

"NEH" = feed me (if you believe the lady who was on Oprah talking about her research of infant "pre-cries")

So excited for you -- congrats on a healthy baby! Longtime lurker from the Peach & EB.

OK, I lost all my links to blogs I like when I had my baby in November and then never returned to my office. Congratulations on the birth of Kali!

Your daughter seems to have the same crying habits as my son. He is a month older, and I must say the crying has decreased recently. He still thinks he needs to eat every two hours. The only exception is the rare occasion he sleeps longer than his normal hour.

I don't know how you deal with the in-laws. I am so thankful mine decided to move 2 hours away a month after LG was born.

Good luck and I hope Kali gives you some peace soon.
