Miss Hoover? I did my shot wrong and now I'm bruised. Can I have another one?

Yup, I did my trigger last night. It bled a bit when I took the needle out. Now I have a bruise roughly the size of a toonie (for you Americans, that's a 1 1/2 inch diameter). What did I do wrong?

Will the shot still work? Or does this mean I've screwed up?

Please comment... I need reassurance!

1. sometimes you just bruise for no real reason. one good thing is that it being the ovidrel, it's your last one and you don't have to hunt around for an unbruised area for the next shot!

2. the blood is no big deal (even though it may feel like it!) you'll be fine and the shot will still work.

Good luck!

I have given myself several bruises from stabbing my gut. It doesn't change the way things work though.

Have fun tomorrow! ;)

Looks like you got some verification and reassurance. It would have been my guess that the bruising was normal. Have fun tomorrow!

Not to worry aobut the bleeding and the bruise, it still worked!! (There was no liquid left in the syringe right? So it had go into you!)
Have "fun" today. I'm looking forward to hearing the "story".

Bruising is normal depending on where you did the shot. Stomach is fine, but I was always a fan of the inside of my thigh myself, or a pinch of skin on the side of my abdomen.

Blood is fine, as long as it's just a drop or two, more than that and you've hit a blood vessel. Messy to clean up...now really, bedroom or bathroom or airport hotel?
